All you hepcats get your stompers on the floor! Blind taste testings will be held throughout the event. There will be plenty of room for dancing in the street. Check back for additional details. Bluemont Summer Concert Series: Martinsburg Jazz Orchestra

S pring Fling with the Silver Tones! The dance will be held at the Manassas Park Community Center. More recently, this high-energy ensemble has earned standing ovations as the opening act for a Maynard Ferguson concert and as one of the featured big bands at the Bluemont Concert Series. The taste testings start at 6: Admission includes heavy appetizers, mixers, three sets of big band swing by the Silver Tones, and a 20155 toast at midnight.

Pre sented by the Windmore Foundation for the Arts. After dinner at 7 pm, swing with the Silver Tones during three lively sets of holiday classics and big band hits.

A swing dance lesson will be given at the band break. Bluemont relies on hundreds of volunteers each summer to ensure that performances go smoothly, and on the support of local businesses and community organizations.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on, and a picnic to enjoy before the show. Bring your chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening in charming, historic Old Town Warrenton.

Beginner dancers are encouraged to attend, and no partner is needed. The second set will start with a dance contest, and bluekont veterans who attend will be recognized and honored. Proceeds will support the Bluemont programs in schools and at healthcare facilities.

Check back for additional details. Music, dancing, comedy, and stories of home will be the highlights of this evening of entertainment. There will be a buemont raffle at this dance: Special guest vocalist, Gene Bates, will be returning to serenade all the sweethearts with his smooth vocals, sung to songs made famous by Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and others! Dance lessons will continue throughout the evening, with the first lesson starting at 6: As at all Bluemont concerts, no pets, alcohol or smoking are allowed.
