In MD Becky Adams founded Reelscape Community, a not-for-profit organisation intended to create work for the public good and facilitate educational initiatives alongside productions. Becky Adams has experience working on educational projects including credits as the Production Manager on various projects for the Education Department of the Royal Shakespeare Company, including a feature length production of King Lear in conjunction with the Park Avenue Armory in New York and Teaching Shakespeare in association with the University of Warwick. Reelscape Community currently organises the Northants Film Network, a free bi-monthly networking event with industry guest speakers.

Young people from Northampton worked with Fortune Cookies staff to design and build the main living room set for the film, which is currently on display in the retail unit, rehearse with actors Fiona Rene and Daniel York, as well as undertaking other design and production work, funded by the Big Lottery Fund amongst others, to build young people’s skills in a workplace environment. Beccky P working title is a drama feature film Reelscape is developing with Stacey, based on real events concerning a young couple in love who steal a million pounds from a bank, only to end up in court accusing each other of the crime. Reelscape Community was founded by Becky Adams, who is the Chairperson on the board. It has an entertaining uplifting story, an exciting cast and many marketable beckyy like its educational workshops for young people, regional production and diversity.

In the future we aim to work with young people and communities on projects with a similar link to a commercial feature film and also to produce professional feature films intended for theatrical distribution with groups of young people from the very beginning including adaptations of children’s novels where all of the profits go back into funding similar projects, producing a sustainable model for feature film production and for these educational initiatives.
